Job Title: Program Manager Health, Nutrition & HIV
Job Purpose:
As the Health, Nutrition & HIV Program Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall Health, Nutrition & HIV strategy, policy and practice to increase capacity of staff, civil society organizations, government and other stakeholders for improved Health, Nutrition & HIV, program quality improvement, documentation and proposal development to mobilize new resources and advising Management regarding development of this program area.
Academic background, Experience & person Specifications;
- A Minimum of Bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Nursing, Development Studies, or relevant field. Graduate or post graduate training in public health, epidemiology, project planning & management, monitoring and evaluation, community development & research or a related field is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 8 years relevant working experience with at least 3 years at management level in an international NGO.
- Experience in Health, Nutrition & HIV programming
- Working knowledge of programming and policy development
- A professional progression towards increasing technical responsibilities
- Strategic management skills
- Computer literacy skills-Ms office applications, word, excel, PowerPoint, Spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to undertake periodic field travel to up-country and in insure areas.
