Job Title: Records Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Representative, the Records Clerk will be responsible for the following tasks;

  • To provide advise on Record keeping practices and information systems
  • Assess and makes recommendations relating to the use of information systems from the record keeping perspectives.
  • Provide reliable, up-to-date research and specifications for information management technology and innovations applications relevant to records management and achieves.
  • Liaise with records originating offices regarding the transfer/ disposal of their records.
  • Maintain access and declassification standard for records and achieves by liaising with records originating offices
  • Manage records disposition functions by applying approved retention policy to information assets, ensuring the registration and physical aspects of records transfers meet established standards

Education;Completion of senior secondary Education. Diploma or Certificate in records management is an added advantage.

Work Experience:At least three years experience/ achieves management preferably in the UN or any other international organization.

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English. Fluency in the local language in area of coverage is desirable
