Job Title: Regional Allied Health Supervisor(5 Vacancies)

Stations: Mbarara, Mbale, Gulu, Arua, Fortportal

Personal Specifications
Must have a Bachelors degree in any Allied Health Professional Discipline plus a Diploma in Health Services Management

OR
University degree either in; Public Health, Social Sciences, Social Work and Social Administration Business Administration or health Services Management plus a Diploma in any Allied Health Professions field
Must have served for at least three(3) years in an Allied Health Professional occupation
Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
Must have a valid annual practicing License

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Exercise general supervision over the Allied Health Professionals in the district or region
  • Receive applications for Registration, licensure or renewal, and forwards them to council for processing.
  • Investigate charges of malpractice, negligence, or misconduct and make full report to the registrar.
  • Conduct spot and periodic inspections of health units in the district to check on standards of professional practice and compliance with the law.
  • Prepare and submit to the Registrar quarterly performance reports
  • Report to the Registrar the details of any Allied Health Professional convicted of an offence.

Requirements
Applicants must have the following
  • Pick the Application form from the Office of the Registrar Allied Health Professions Council, Ministry of Health Headquarters room B010
  • Submit two copies of the duly filled application forms. Attach the following:
  • Two recent passport size photograph and certified copies of of academic and professional certificates
  • Copies of letters of appointment from previous or current employer if any
  • Curriculum Vitae with valid addresses and Telephone contacts of two Referees

Note
  • Applicants should indicate a station of their preference
  • The council reserves the right to verify photocopies of academic documents to authenticate their validity
  • Only short listed candidates shall be informed of the interview date, and will be required to bring along with them originals of their academic certificates and transcripts unlaminated. Successful candidates will be contacted.
  • The job is on contract terms of three(3) years of service renewable on attainment of satisfactory performance.
