Job Title: National Advocacy Officer

Responsibilities:
• Building and maintaining strategic relations with policy makers, and NGOs on women’s rights and violence against women issues
• Provoke public debate about human rights, violence against women through print and electronic media
• Mentor and guide journalists and editors to improve the portrayal of women in the media
• Other duties as requested by the Executive Director

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years NGO experience, preferably in gender and human rights programming
• BA degree or relevant experience
• Track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with and among diverse groups of actors
• Fluent in community language(s) and English
• Computer literate and excellent writing skills
