POSITION:IT SUPPORT ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO:Manager Information Technology
VACANCIES : 4
SALARY LEVEL : 8
PURPOSE : To provide support to users and CAA IT systems that results in operational efficiencies and effectiveness thereby contributing towards the attainment of CAA’s objectives and mandate.
QUALIFICATIONS : A degree in Information Technology, Computer
Science or equivalent.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Participates in the maintenance and support of all systems including user support 24/7,
2. Assists in putting in place a process of resolving ICT problems within set timelines,
3. Assists in ensuring that the IT network platform delivers on the CAA business objectives,
4. Participates in enforcement of CAA ICT policies and procedures,
5. Participates in developing user training programmes,
6. Participates in training of users.
EXPERIENCE
At least one years experience in support of users and management of IT systems including CUTE, ACPS, FIDS and the SUN Accounting Systems.
Additional experience in a related IT environment will be an added advantage.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
1. Diagnosing and resolving problems on ICT systems
2. Managing local area networks
3. Maintaining and Servicing ICT hardware
4. Use of Desktop Microsoft Operating Systems
5. Use of common Microsoft Office Applications
6. Managing electrical equipment on ICT systems
7. Good interpersonal and communication skills
