Introduction
• Our client is looking for a IT Help Desk Operator. To facilitate communication between the client and the IT department as well as anticipate and understand the client’s specific needs
Minimum Requirements
• A+ and N+ certification and or similar qualifications.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Computer literacy, With a Good knowledge of Windows Ms Products.
• Excellent telephonic skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
• Ability to interact effectively with employees, managers and providers at all levels
• Good problem solving and decision making skill.
Job Specification
• Ensures that the helpdesk telephone is manned at all times.
• Assists all queries in a friendly and efficient manner
• Identifies continual problems which are consistently re-occurring and notifies the Facilities manager thereof.
• Logs incidents to Technical staff which cannot be resolved telephonically.
• Ensures that outstanding incidents are being attended to and keeps the customer informed as to the progress at all times.
• Ensures that problems are escalated through the correct IT channels during and after hours.
• Ensures that requested jobs are run properly as per Instructions
• Completes and signs the Shift Events Log as per standard.
