Job Title: Finance and Administration Manager
Job Purpose:
The Finance and Administration Manager is responsible for overall professional and technical accounting and administrative services for HFH Uganda
Reports to: National Director
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensures that the mission, vision, goals and policies of HFH Uganda are followed
• Ensures that the management of fixed assets, payroll, budgeting, grant and fund accounting, mortgages receivable, as well as the purchasing of assets and equipment are in compliance HFH international and local policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Reviews the monthly audit trail and reports and ensures that international controls are in place
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing principles. Local laws and regulations relating to accounting
• Knowledge of data processing systems and their application to accounting functions and internal controls
• Knowledge in human resource and prior experience overseeing administration and HR functions
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, public Administration or related field and 5 years of increasingly responsible professional, in the not for profit sector experience in accounting, budgeting
• Full professional qualifications in CIMA, ACCA, ICPAU required
Abilities:
• Ability to train and supervise other financial staff on computer packages and other financial management
• Self motivation with keen interest in detail and ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to take initiatives to advance the program
