Roofings Rolling Mills Ltd is a leading steel manufacturer in East Africa having three-Phased project comprising of a wire galvanizing line, reinforced TMT bars rolling mill, Continuous Galvanizing and Colour Coating line located in Namanve Industrial and Business Park, Kampala Uganda, With modern technology from Germany, Austria, Italy, Canada, Japan and India, the combined capacity of the plant is over 200,000 tons per annum

The continuous galvanizing and colour coating plant (phase3) is a modern state of art plant and is the newest of all phases with the most modern technology in Sub-Saharan Africa and is expected to start production this year.

We are seeking to recruit energetic, dynamic, skilled and motivated people with zeal to perform beyond market expectations to fill the following positions.

POST : Shift Engineer – Electrical (4 positions)

* Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, the job holders will have the following responsibilities:
* Preventive and Corrective maintenance of machinery.
* Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
* Managing and Training People.
* Statutory inspection of lifting equipments, pressure vessels and other factory equipment
* Advising Management on the Efficiency of machinery.

Requirement:

The ideal candidates for the above positions should have the following:

* Bachelors degree in any of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Metallurgical Engineering
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in coil to coil colour coating line in the iron and Steel industry
* Must be computer literate and Knowledge of ERP functionality would be a plus
