MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following discipline from a recognized University/Institution;
Computer Science or Information Technology and Computing or Computer Information Systems and Administration or Business Information Systems or Business Computing or Systems Administration or Software Engineering System Design and Analysis.
OR
Science like Electrical Engineering or Mathematics or Physics or Commerce or Statistics (Computing Option) or Economics or Business Administration with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Studies/Information System.
Applicants in both categories should be in possession of professional qualification in any of the following IT related fields; CISCO or Certified Network Administration (CCNA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering (MCSE) or Microsoft System Development (MSD) and Oracle Certified Development (OCD) or Information Security and Audit (ISACA) Certification among others.

Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Senior level with exposure to Computerized Financial Management Software and/Government Accounting System in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Information Technology for performing the following duties:
? Administering network resources including user access rights and maintaining up to date inventory of network resources.
? Developing user authorization and systems access profiles.
? Maintaining up to date systematic drawing of Local and Wide Area Network and infrastructure supporting e-Government.
? Developing security policy instruments, implementing security tools like fireworks and anti-virus software and putting in place a mechanism detect security breaches.
? Any other duties as may be assigned by from time to time.

Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy. Serving Officers will not be considered for Entry Level Posts in Scale U4, where applicable.
