Job Title: DRIVER/CLERK INTER-UNIVERSITY COUNCIL FOR EAST AFRICA LAKE VICTORIA RESEARCH INITIATIVE (VICRES) JOB OPPORTUNITY Job Title: DRIVER/CLERK Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) is one of the strategic institutions of the East African Community responsible for promoting, developing and coordinating human resources development and research in the region. IUCEA is implementing a regional research programme – Lake Victoria Research Initiative (VicRes) – currently in Phase 3 (2009-2014) with financial support from the government of Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). IUCEA wishes to recruit a Driver/Clerk for the VicRes programme on temporary terms. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified Ugandans for the post. DETAILS OF THE POST Employment terms: Contract Duration of contract: One year renewable subject to satisfactory performance Duty station: IUCEA Secretariat located on 3rd Floor East African Development Bank Building, Plot 4 Nile Avenue, Kampala, Uganda. Application deadline: 27th May 2012 at 12:00 p.m. Experience, knowledge and skills: i. Clean and accident free driving record with defensive driving skills. ii. Ability to drive vehicles in class C (omnibus) and D (light vehicles) iii. Working experience as a Driver/Clerk in a busy organization is essential. iv. Familiarity with basic office work and procedures are desirable. Qualification: Holder of ‘O’ level Certificate of Education or its equivalent.
