Reports to: Manager Strategic Planning
Job Purpose:
The position exists to assist in the provision of information used in developing strategies for the immediate and long term plans of ACCA
Education:
The position requires a good degree in economics, business management or commerce
Experience:
5 years working experience in a government parastatal or reputable organization
Knowledge & Skills
• Good communication skills including preparation of reports, computing skills
• Should have a high level of initiative and integrity, be a good team leader, possess good negotiation skills and be able to work with minimum supervision
• Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Database Management
Principal Accountabilities:
• Participates through preparation of relevant information relating to strategic planning for input into the strategy development, budgeting and review process
• Participates in development and implementation of business plans for CAA
• Participates in the preparation of quantitative and qualitative forecasts of key operating variables and factors and determines their influence on the operational and financial performance of the authority
• Examines all actual data pertaining to business performance and makes suggestions for forecasts based on actual performance
• Considers current economic factors and suggests review of charges to new levels
• Receives and assesses applications for special traffic rights and makes recommendations to the strategic planning manager
