Danya is seeking a qualified Organizational Development and Knowledge Management Advisor in an upcoming multi-year project that will provide monitoring, evaluation and learning support and build the capacity of USAID/Uganda. The anticipated start date is early 2013. This position is contingent upon award.
SUMMARY: Under supervision of the Chief of Party, the Organizational Development and Knowledge Management (OD/KM) Advisor will provide technical leadership to assist USAID/Uganda become a better learning, adaptive, effective development organization through improved organizational process and enhanced staff capacity.
RESPONSIBILITIES: ï‚§ Provide programmatic leadership in all activities related to OD/KM ï‚§ Develop and adapt tools to enhance USAID's organization collaboration, learning and adaptive management skills ï‚§ Carry out analyses of organizational culture and time management studies and track organizational learning and change ï‚§ Develop a learning and development agenda for USAID/Uganda staff to promote a learning and adaptive business culture ï‚§ Facilitate collaboration between USAID, government of Uganda and other stakeholders
ï‚§ Develop and implement a knowledge management mechanism to consolidate information for learning engagements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: ï‚§ Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or a compatible combination of education and experience. Relevant degree with post-graduate level training in organizational development or related fields ï‚§ A minimum of 8 years' experience in organizational development and knowledge management in an international development environment ï‚§ Demonstrated prior experience working with USAID ï‚§ Strong change management, results oriented and decision making skills ï‚§ Excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills ï‚§ Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform ï‚§ Prior work experience in Uganda preferred
