Job Title: Finance, M&E and Knowledge Management Specialists / Assistants (Ugandan nationals)

The QED Group, LLC is a full-service international development firm that provides practical solutions to social problems through sound analysis, proven management techniques, and creative implementation.  We focus our efforts on two core practice areas: Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management. We work with U.S. agencies and overseas governments, international donors, private-sector clients, and PVOs/NGOs in more than 80 countries around the world. Key clients include USAID, the U.S. Department of State, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.

QED currently seeks Ugandan national candidates for its ongoing USAID-funded Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning project. Positions listed below will be long-term (five years) and based in Kampala. An undergraduate degree, excellent written and spoken English, and experience with USAID or other donor-funded development projects required.

Duties and Responsibilities

To provide administrative and/or technical support for Uganda MEL reporting to sr. M&E and knowledge management staff and the Deputy Chief of Party.

Key Qualifications

• Finance Manager:   BA in administration, finance or related field; advanced degree preferred; 8+ yrs experience including budgeting, accounting, grants management and subcontracting for large USAID projects.

• Knowledge Management/Organizational Learning Specialist:    BA in relevant field, 5+yrs experience in knowledge management (KM) and organizational learning (OL); including managing knowledge-sharing and learning events.  Experience developing learning networks, facilitating donor, government and stakeholder coordination, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data desirable.

• M&E Assistant:   BA, 3+yrs experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), providing administrative and logistical support, data analysis and research. Familiarity with USAID M&E policies and procedures desired.

• KM/OL Assistant:    BA, 3+yrs experience in KM and OL, event management, and developing training modules and online content.  Familiarity with USAID learning agenda desired.
