Internal Auditor- SPEDAG Uganda

Job Title: Internal Auditor
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Head Office

_ Review Job File records in the company's financial system against physical documents (files) to ensure that they are accurate and complete
_ Verify that all costs incurred are correctly incurred on each job file have been billed to relevant parties as appropriate and applicable.
_ Liaise with all operations and section heads and accounts staff to ensure that any discrepancies noted during job file audit are resolved in a timely manner
_ Prepare monthly lists of un-reconciled file records and ensure Heads reconcile un invoiced files on time.
_ Perform month end adjustments (accruals and prepayments) on job file accounts to facilitate accurate and timely preparation of periodic financial statements of accounts
_ Make monthly reports of gross profit/loss per file indicating reasons for any variations.
_ Monitor archiving system to ensure physical safety of records.
_ Provide sound advice to Management on effectiveness and relevance of controls

Qualifications & Skills
_ Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Computing, Statistics, Economics or equivalent.
_ A bias in accounting and or auditing is an added advantage.
_ Basic knowledge in the clearing and forwarding industry
is an added advantage.
_ Computer skills in financial systems

Experience
_ 2- 5 years in relevant field
