Job Purpose: To manage and provide Hardware & Software maintenance, technical support and recommend future needs in the development of the Agency’s Information and Communication

Job Title: ICT SPECIALIST

Technology (ICT) resources.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide day-to-day ICT support & maintenance of REA’s key ICT infrastructure
2. Manage ICT and computer systems, including budgets and expenditure
3. Support the maintenance of the REA website
4. Support REA’s Email and Internet connectivity
5. Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
6. Maintain a log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures for computer systems operations
8. Develop standards, guidelines, and procedures for system development, implementation and management
9. Perform regular backups of REA’s databases and information, ensuring that backup and recovery procedures & plan are in place and periodically updated
10. Provide basic staff training when needed
11. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time

Minimum qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in the area of Computing and Information Technology from a recognized Institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or Data Communications is a requirement
• Certifications like CCNA, MCP, MCSE are added advantage
Minimum experience:
Five (5) years hands on experience in maintenance & management of ICT operations in a reputable organization.

You should possess the following:
 Proficient knowledge of Windows Server 2003 & Database Administration
 Proficient knowledge in SQL
 Knowledge of programming
 Thorough hands-on experience with Networking (LAN, WAN)
 Deep understanding of Information Security is a MUST
