Company Profile : Save the Children Uganda one of the leading NGO’s is in need of a Chief Controller.
Job Description : Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Chief Controller’s main responsibilities will be to manage the controller function, ensure the day-to-day controlling, to provide timely and accurate financial information and expertise as well as maintaining constant care and compliance with policies and standards. You will be working in close cooperation with the Finance Manager, and the right candidate will aspire to a Finance Manager role. Area of responsibilities Manage monthly reporting process including responsibility for accurate, timely and high quality reporting (internal & external) Ensure no major findings in various audits conducted during the year Ensure compliance with group and local policies Assist in the preparation of material for Senior Management Team and ad hoc financial analysis Provide strong financial management working closely with budget holders Follow up on KPIs, Financial Reviews and Control Dashboard results Contribute in providing high quality financial information and analysis to key stakeholders Super user of internal financial systems and Excel

Skill Set : Requirements and qualifications University degree in Finance and Accounting or related field Extensive knowledge of setting of budgets and reporting Strategic mindset and the ability to drive strategic initiatives Ability to provide leadership, obtain cooperation and assistance to meet objectives Fluency in verbal and written English Be a strong team player while at the same time being able to work independently Excellent communication skills Strong analytical skills Considerable drive and interest in taking on new tasks Well organized, timely and focused on quality Strong interpersonal skills Field experience and background from an INGO are added advantages
