Job Title: Pharmacy Services Advisor
Reports to: Deputy Program Director

Job summary:
To ensure that MJAP-supported health units have adequate pharmaceutical supplies and that these are effectively managed, in line with the national systems.
Duties include: selection, specification, forecasting, verification of the pharmaceuticals; recommend to the program reputable sources/ suppliers of pharmaceutical and medical supplies; participation in evaluation of suppliers; ensures that standard pharmaceutical practices are adhered to; technical assistance/training of staff; Monitor and evaluate MJAP's performance in the delivery of pharmaceutical services, and take follow-up action as necessary.

Job requirements:
1¬st Degree in Pharmacy, plus a Masters degree in pharmacy related field or its equivalent; registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU) or Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain; At least 4 years in a similar setting, in a recognized health institution/ NGO, two of which should be at a management level. Knowledge on issues relating to quality assurance in clinical settings; Drug regulatory procedures in Uganda; HIV/AIDS Care protocols relating to pharmaceutical services; Supply-chain management system for the MOH; Procurement principles
