DIRECTORATE OF INTERNAL AUDIT

 Post:                Internal Auditors (4 Positions).
                                     
 Report to:    Senior Internal Auditor

 Salary Scale:              M-6

 Roles:

 To conduct Internal Audit engagements in accordance with laid down regulations and guidelines. Audit engagements covering testing of controls, reviewing risk exposures, evaluation of changes in systems and controls, development of working papers and report writing.

Duties.
1.    Develop audit for audit assignments
2.    Gather and develop working papers.
3.    Conduct audit exercises.
4.    Evaluate changes and modifications to systems or internal controls.
5.    Compile Audit reports.
6.    Bring to the attention of the Supervisor(s) all material issues relating to current and previous audit exercises.
7.    File all audit working papers
8.    Assist in carrying out investigations as and when required

Outputs:
1.    Audit programs developed.
2.    Working papers developed.
3.    Audits conducted.
4.    Audit reports compiled,
5.    Working papers filed.

Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications:

(i)  A Minimum of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree with a bias in accounting or auditing from a recognised awarding body.
(ii)    Part or Full Professional Qualifications in Accountancy or Audit obtained from a recognised awarding body will be an added advantage.

Other Desirable Qualities:

(i)       Must have a track record of honesty and integrity
(ii)    Must be computer literate and familiar with accounting packages
(iii)    Must be self driven and ready to work under pressure for long hours

Minimum work experience required:

Experience in Internal Auditing for at least one year.

Tenure of appointment:  Permanent terms of service.

Age limit:  Applicants should not exceed 50 years of age
