Job Title: Technician
Under the direction of the Lead Engineer, technicians are responsible for installing water treatment systems in remote communities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Mobilizing and overseeing community volunteers as they prepare for the project by constructing shallow wells, digging trenches for pipes, and constructing houses for the water treatment systems
• Installing water treatment systems which include the following main components: pumps, filters, chlorinators, and solar panels
• installing storage tanks, distribution lines, and tap stands
• Training local system operators
• Project reporting, including taking photographs and recording testimonials, Water quality testing, Monitoring projects and fixing broken systems

Qualifications
• Post Secondary Technical Degree
• Minimum two years work experience in a technical field (preferably related to Water Systems)
• Specialized technical skills (such as construction, plumbing, electrician or welding)
