Job Title: Awards Compliance Manager

Reports to: Associate Director of Finance and Operations

Location : Mbarara



Core duties and responsibilities:

- Provide technical Contracts / Grants Knowledge and Management.

- Oversee the review and evaluation of sub-grantee applications and proposals.

- Provide technical support to management on country specific contracts and grants management issues.

- Support grantee to improve their administrative performance and reduce the risk to the project and the foundation.

- Provide target targeted capacity building to sub-grantees through coaching and mentoring initiatives.

- Take appropriate actions as prompted by CGIS specific reports as close out status etc.

- Assist with responses to technical questions for proposals dealing with sub-grant management.



Knowledge, skills and abilities:

- 7-10 years experience in USAID, CDC, or other federally funded grants/contracts administration.

- Full membership of ICPAU, Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field required. Maters preferred.

- Internal and external audit and financial management experience.

- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, assess priorities and manage a variety of activities with attention to detail.

- Must have leadership and supervisory experience in the recent 2-3 years.

- Excellent communication skill (oral and written), including editing and proofreading.

- Proficient computer/software skills, including command of Word and Excel.

- Ability to interact professionally with diverse staff and applicants.

- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.






Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Reports to: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Location: Mbarara



Core duties and responsibilities:

- Ensure the technical soundness of EGPAF’s monitoring and evaluation strategies by updating STAR SW project staff and implementing partners on technical advances and lessons learned around the world.

- Ensure that STAR SW/ EGPAF’s implementation strategies and performance goals are in accordance with national and international standards for monitoring and evaluation.

- Assist the project’s partners to collect, analyze and report programmatic indicators in a timely manner.

- Represent EGPAF and STAR SW project in the supported districts and at national level.



Knowledge, skills and abilities:

- A medical degree or MSc degree in statistics, demography, epidemiology or other relevant discipline, including social science and public health.

- At least 5 years of professional experience working in HIV/AIDS prevention, care & treatment.

- Hands-on knowledge and skills in designing, planning, implementing and monitoring PMTCT, ART including Pediatric care and TB/HIV programs.

- Strong skills in teamwork and networking. Good verbal communication and writing skills.

- Willingness to work and travel in rural settings in Uganda.

- Familiarity with computer programming, routine management of information systems, and maintenance or electronic databases.

- Good working knowledge of major database and analytical programs including MySQL, Visual Basic, MS excel, MS excel, STATA, SPSS and Epi Data, and GIS.






Job Title: Capacity Building Coordinator.

Reports to: Director Quality Improvement

Location: Mbarara



Core duties and responsibilities:

- Ensure the technical soundness of EGPAF’s TB and HIV prevention, care and treatment strategies by updating STAR SW project staff and implementing partners on technical advances and lessons learned around the world.

- Ensure that STAR SW/ EGPAF’s implementation strategies and performance goals are in accordance with national and international standards.

- Conduct Training Needs Assessments, plans, designs and with the district health offices and MOH.

- Represent EGPAF and STAR SW project in the supported districts and at national level.

- Establish and maintain database of trainers and trainees in the different service/priority program areas.



Knowledge, skills and responsibilities:

- A medical degree and/or a master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or other clinical discipline

- At least 5 years of professional experience working in HIV/AIDS prevention, care & treatment.

- Hands-on knowledge and skills in designing, planning, implementing and monitoring PMTCT, ART including Pediatric care and TB/HIV programs.

- Strong skills in teamwork and networking.

- Trainer skills

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office programs including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point.

- Willingness to work and travel in rural settings in Uganda.

- Practical experience in stakeholder engagement.

- Practical experience in working with health systems at the national and district level.
