SENIOR PLANNER -MONITORING AND EVALUATION- Job Vacancy in Uganda

JOB TITLE: SENIOR PLANNER -MONITORING AND EVALUATION (1 POSITION):
Reports to: Head, Monitoring and Evaluation
Major function:
This is a middle Managerial position and the Officer will be responsible for establishing an effective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system and coordinating the M&E activities.
Specific duties and responsibilities
The Officer will be responsible for:
• Coordinating the production of NPA's analytical work based on quarterly, halt yearly and annual NDP progress reports from MDAS and LGs quarterly reports.
• Coordinating activities for transforming the NPA Resource Centre into a national Central Repository of Information
• Coordinating preparation, quality assurance and upload of the NPA website; materials
• Coordinating evaluation studies and other research activities;
• Participating in the preparation of Notional Annual Development Status Reports by NPA; '
• Participating in the development and maintenance of M&E systems for the National Development Plans;
• Participating in the development and maintenance of the NPA's Information Management Systems
Kay Result Areas (KRA)
• Conduct periodic assessment process of the NDP
• Ensure that the National Planning Authority's Management information systems are developed and maintained
• Ensure the development and maintenance of M&E systems for the National Development Plans

Remuneration
Remuneration to all. the above positions will be attractive and commensurate with the responsibilities attached to them.


Job requirement

The National Planning Authority (NPA) was established by an Act of Parliament No.15 of 2002 in compliance with article 125 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda (1995). It is the principal statutory agency responsible for the management of national and decentralized development planning in Uganda. The primary function of the Authority is to produce comprehensive and integrated development plans for the country elaborated in terms of the perspective Vision, Long and Medium-term Plans. Following the review of the Strategic Plan and the Organization Structure, new positions have emerged. In this regard, the Authority is desirous of filling those positions.
