Job Title: National Project Manager
Major functions:
Reporting to the country office conservation Manager, the National Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to day managerial and administrative functions of the project.
Required Qualification:
Education
Masters Degree or Equivalent in forestry, natural Resource Management or environmental management
Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years work experience in the management of projects in the field of natural resources management and sustainable development.
- Demonstrate experience in working with partners or multi-stakeholders group at all levels, from Government ministries Local governments down to communities.
- Clear understanding of natural resource management policies and local government political structures.
- Proven leadership and team building and management skills
- A working knowledge of financial management, especially at the project level
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to network, develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels, internally and with local communities, local governments and CSOs;
- Adaptability and flexibility; able to take initiatives and prioritize among competing demands.
