WASH Innovation/Private-Sector Coordinator job in Uganda at World Vision

Job Title: WASH Innovation/Private-Sector Coordinator
Reports to: WASH Program Officer
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Role of the Position:
We are seeking a WASH Innovation/ Private-Sector coordinator who will work closely with the field teams and the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) unit to identify incremental and potentially transformational innovations approaches that are targeted to improve :

  • WASH program delivery
  • Water system design
  • Hygiene promotion approaches leading to measurable behavior change
  • demand and economic-driven sanitation solutions
  • Sustainable maintenance of WASH systems
Major responsibilities:
The WASH Innovation/ Private -Sector Coordinator will:
  • Oversee 'new product' development activities
  • Discuss 'business requirements with project teams, partners and contractors
  • create detailed project design and implementation documents and approaches, while also assessing project plans and evaluating potential feasibility concerns.
Academic Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in WASH-related disciplines(e.g. Water engineering, Public Health, Environmental Science, hydrology, etc) or a Bachelor's Degree in social sciences, business, communication, or related disciplines coupled with practical WASH woorking experience.

Employment Experience: Proven WASH -related community development work experience
