Job Title: Projects Engineer-Monitoring
Reports to: Assistant Manager Projects
Job Purpose:
The primary purpose will be to supervise progress of implementation of detailed feasibility studies and construction of electricity projects in different parts of Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Result Areas:
• Analytical review of project feasibility study reports and technical plans for appropriateness
• Monitoring progress of implementation of detailed feasibility studies and project construction
• Development and application of an effective monitoring and evaluation framework

Primary Duties:
• Conduct analytical review of project feasibility study reports
• Prepare technical evaluation reports
• Attend project site meetings
• Develop guidelines for project progress reports

Competencies:
Minimum Education and years of experience

Competencies Required:

• Engineering Design (including computer based design techniques)
• Project Management skills
• Knowledge of electricity systems

Skills:
Computer
Report Writing
Communication

Personal Attributes:

• Good interpersonal skills
• High level of analytical skills and good at report writing
• Good communication skills
• Flexible to move both to and in the field

Qualifications:
A Bachelor of science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a
• A Bachelor of Science Civil engineering with post graduate training in hydro power development
• Post graduate qualification in a related field will be an added advantage
• The candidate should be a registered Engineer

Experience:

• At least 3 years working experience in project development, monitoring and evaluation and reporting
• Experience and demonstrable knowledge of Uganda’s Power sector

Age: above 27 years and below 35 years
