Job Title: Senior Treasurer (2 posts)

Age limit: 25 years and above

Qualifications:
• An honors degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a bias in accounting or certified Public Accountant plus post graduate qualifications in financial management from a recognized University or institution
• OR full professional qualifications in accounting such as ACCA, CPA, ACIS and CPE obtained from reorganized awarding institution/ body accredited by ICPAU plus a minimum of a post graduate Diploma in Financial Management or Business administration from a reorganized institution

Experience:
• At least three years experience as a treasurer/ Accountant or Finance officer in public or reputable organization is required

Duties:
• Maintaining control of main and subsidiary accounts
• Supervising and controlling revenue collection and expenditure
• Verifying financial documents and payments to avoid forgeries and fraud
• Preparing estimates of expenditure for the council
• Advising the council on financial matters
