Job Title: Logistics Manager- Uganda
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager
Job Purpose:
To provide expert logistics management for all aspects of logistic requirements for planned and on-going operations and development projects

Main Accountabilities:
• Contribute to the development of SCM strategies and plans, working with SCM leadership in-country and at SCM group level
• Work with partners to develop integrated logistics solution
• Manage contracts and contractor performance with specific focus on EHS and costs
• Work with business Unit Management and internal customers to review and plan logistics requirements for operations and development projects

Qualifications:
A university degree in Transport management, engineering, business or management related discipline

Experience:
• 15 years work experience in Logistics Management
• 10 years of projects and operations logistics experience with an operator and/or main logistics provider
• Experience working in East Africa

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:
• Planning and organizing skills
• Knowledge of financial analysis/ logistics cost and service model
• Proven experience of project logistics
• Prior experience in working in east Africa
