ACDI/VOCA has been awarded the USAID-funded PL 480 Title II Food Security Program called “Resiliency through Wealth, Agriculture, and Nutrition in Karamoja (RWANU), to be implemented from August, 2012 through July, 2017 in Karamoja, Uganda. RWANU will focus on two strategic objectives to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable rural populations in selected sub-counties of Amudat, Moroto, Napak and Nakapiripirit: (1) improved availability and access to food; and (2) reduced malnutrition in pregnant and lactating mothers and children under five. RWANU takes a preventive approach to reducing malnutrition, focusing on the first 1,000 days of life when conditional food rations will have the highest impact. Integral to its strategy, the Program will promote diversified livelihoods strategies including linkages to market opportunities, to ensure long-term food security and resilience to shocks.

Compliance Specialist:

Design and implement programs, policies and practices to ensure that all project activities and beneficiaries are in compliance with Ugandan and USAID regulatory requirements. Provide day-to- day management of all project procurement activities, ensuring strict compliance with USAID rules and regulations and ACDI/ VOCA policies and procedures, particularly as they relate to fair and transparent bidding procedures, geographic restrictions on source and origin for equipment purchases, documentation, and proper lines of authority for approval. Maintain strict adherence to USAID rules and regulations (particularly with regards to procurement), ACDI/VOCA policies and procedures, and Ugandan local laws.
Requirement:

    Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years of relevant experience managing compliance and procurement for a project of similar size.
