Job Title: Child Protection Officer
Reports to: Child Protection and Development Manager
Duty Station: Kampala
Purpose of the Job:
To provide effective technical support to programmes during design, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of child protection priorities in line with national office goals and objectives
Key Result Areas
- policy advocacy; support child protection advocacy, policy dialogue and campaign interventions by ensuring linkages and coherence between engagements with area Development Programmes and National levels, in context of integrated ministry
- Research, documentation and information sharing; provide technical guidance to ADPs in identifying areas for research, conducting research and ensuring documentation of outcomes for sharing at ADP and national levels
- Networking and Partnership; participate in networking and partnership engagements and support ADPs and regions to engage in the same for effective child protection programming in line with Organizational strategies
- A bachelors degree in Law, Social Sciences and or a related field
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have proven advocacy and documentation experience
- Ability to communicate fluently in writing and orally
