Human Resource Manager Job at Uganda Industrial Research Institute


Reporting to the Executive Director, the position holder will maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development

• Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures to ensure HR practices are in line with industry norms and enables the employer to achieve its strategic objectives

• Manage the employer remuneration policy to ensure fair compensation and benefits to staff.

• Oversee the development and implementation of the employer’s training and development program.

• Advise and assist management in its recruitment and staff exit management

• General administrative duties

Qualifications and skills required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or related field, Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and at least 3 years continuous experience in human resources management
