Job Title: Research, M&E Coordinator

Nurture Africa (NA) (Formally A-Z Children’s Charity Uganda) Ref: S.5914/6521 currently) is a Non-Governmental Organisation operating in Wakiso and Mubende Districts. NA is committed to contribute towards the health and development of the most vulnerable children in its areas of operation through high quality education, health care, Children’s rights and Sustainable livelihood programs enabling them to become positive influences in Ugandan society. NA primarily targets HIV infected and affected orphans and vulnerable children and works with their families holistically in order for sustainable change to occur. Nurture Africa seeks to recruit a:-

Title: Research, M&E Coordinator

Supervisor: Operations Manager

Job’s overall purpose: Ensure a functional and robust M&E framework for NA and its collaborating partner CSOs.

Major duties and responsibilities

    Capacity build project staff and collaborating partner CSOs in M&E best practices
    Develop, update and disseminate the M&E policy and ensure that all staff and relevant stakeholders adhere to it.
    Develop, update and disseminate M&E tools and frameworks for different projects in consultation with relevant NA project staff. Collaborate with NA Senior Management staff to write competitive grant proposals for funding NA projects
    Plan and conduct regular project performance review meetings with project staff
    Liaise with relevant Project Officers to conduct baseline surveys before the commencement of any project interventions.
    Develop project performance gender sensitive indicators for different projects in full consultation with relevant project staff and NA CSO partners Ensure that weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project reports are in line with approved standards and submitted before deadlines Develop and update Indicator Tracking Tables on a monthly basis in consultation with Project Officers.
    Produce technical reports at planning, implementation and evaluation levels of community projects.
    Conduct monitoring visits to assess whether project implementation is according to schedule, budget and producing the necessary goods and services to the targeted beneficiaries.


Requirement:

    Bachelor's Economics
    Post graduate training in Statistics or Research and participatory M&E methodologies is a MUST

Skills and experience

    At least 4 years' experience in M&E work
    Computer application skills including Ms Word and Ms Excel
    Data analysis skills with the ability to use statistical packages.
    Proposal writing skills is added advantage.
    Motorcycle riding skills if possible with a permit.
