Job Title: Information , Communications  and  Public  Relations Officer
Africa  Innovations  Institute  (Afril), a not-for-profit  non-government  centre of excellence , undertakes  research  and  innovations  in agriculture and food systems constraints in order to  enhance income  and food and nutrition  security   of smallholder farmers in Africa.
Responsibilities
•    Assisting the Chairman  in  promoting  the  public  image  of  Afril both locally  and  internationally.
•    Developing and  effectively  managing  all  Afril  websites and  databases  with a view of  bringing  to the  attention of the national  and  international  community  the works and  impacts  of Afril.
•    Coordinating  and managing  preparation, publication and dissemination  of periodic reports and publications from the institute.
•    Periodically analyze  the external  environment  of Afril  to find out the concerns   and  expectations of its  stakeholders  and  advise  management  accordingly.


Qualifications
•    The ideal  candidate  shall be  a holder  of BA or BSc in information,  Mass  Communication or  Public Relations  or its equivalent .
•    Possession of master of Science  or postgraduate  Diploma in Public  Relations, communication  will be  of added advantage
•    Postgraduate  training in  website development  and management , public  relations  and communication for development  will also be  an added advantage.
