Job  Title: Systems  Administrators

Africa  Broadcasting  Limited  owns  and operates  NTV  . We are  a  subsidiary  of the  Nation  Media  Group,  which is  East &  Central Africa’s  largest multi-media  group.
Responsibilities
•    Installing  new /rebuilding  existing  servers and  configuring  hardware, peripherals, services, settings, storage,  etc. in accordance with standards  and project/operational requirements .
•    Researching and  recommending  innovative , and where possible ,automated approach  for system administration tasks  by identifying  approaches  that  leverage our  resources.
•    Setting  up  networking  infrastructure  in new locations  and ensure that  those systems  are  fully  functional
•    Repairing  and recovering  from  hardware or  software failures by coordinating  and communicating   with  impacted constituencies.
Competencies
•    Basic University  degree  in Computer Science  or  Information Technology
•    Certification  in  CCNA,CCNP  and knowledge of  MAC  OS  and  Final  Cut  Editing      software, FTP  server and  multimedia  is an added advantage
•    Knowledge of  a range  of networking  systems and languages including  Novell, UNIX, and  VMS
•    Knowledge of computer  network  security systems, procedures , techniques  and applications
•    Have a thorough  knowledge  of  iMacs   and have ability to maximize  their functions
