Primary Functions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Mapping, research and assessment of the interests of local community stakeholders.
    Developing and managing the relationship with the local community (e.g. Governments, NGOs, International organizations, Civil Society organizations).
    Scheduling and organizing community-related events, and coordinating internal and external engagements.
    Serve as the first point of contact for the community and represent the Company’s interests regarding the related issues.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree, an advanced degree in Journalism, Communications, Politics,Economics is preferred or the related.
    Minimum 7 years working experience.
    Work experience at Lake Albert district is highly preferred.
    NGO or community background preferred.
    Public relations experience would be preferred.
    Willingness to travel and a desire to engage with people of different backgrounds and cultures.
    Knowledge of the community of Lake Albert required.
    Understanding of Oil Exploration & Production.
    Excellent communication skills – written, oral and presentation.
    Excellent analyzing and problem-solving ability.
    Awareness of culture diversity.
    Ensuring high quality two-way flow of key messages between the Company and the local community.
    Excellent team player.

Job Summary: The Product Design Fellow (PDF) will drive human-centered design thinking for AppLab Money’s projects.  The PDF will work with the AppLab Money team to develop and execute user research and product testing strategies, track the user experience during pilots, and work with the technology team to ensure that the products are improved to meet the needs of users.

Reports to: Project Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Manage product design and innovation processes for the AppLab Money Incubator
    Work with the AppLab team to determine product solutions that meet core needs of poor consumers through:
        Planning and conducting primary research studies designed to understand user needs
        Refining our process for testing to unearth key user insights more efficiently and effectively
        Conducting brainstorming, requirements-gathering and design review sessions
    Work with the team to develop strategies to rapid prototyping and iteration of product concepts through:
        Developing wireframes and prototypes (both static and interactive) for testing with users.
        Facilitating the product filtering process to ensure that products chosen for testing are technically feasible, commercially sustainable, and compliant with Bank of Uganda regulations
        Monitoring and reporting on user feedback from the field and sharing that feedback within the team to quickly refine the product prototypes

    Document research findings in various forms (blogs, monthly updates, reports etc.)
    Advocate for the adoption of human-centered design throughout GF worldwide
    Provide training and mentorship in human-centered design to help junior staff integrate design principles in their work going forward

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Has a deep commitment to eradication of poverty and alignment with Grameen Foundation’s mission
    Believes in the potential to leverage information and communication technology (ICTs) for the benefit of poor people
    Has professional experience in human-centered design
    Is able to bring creativity, innovation, and a thirst for new ideas to our team
    Has strong prototyping and visual communication skills (experience developing mobile phone based products/apps preferred but not required)
    Has strong written and oral communication skills
    Has strong analytical and business modeling skills

Education and Experience:

This position will be located in Uganda and require domestic travel. Some regional travel may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide technical support for product testing and pilots with multinational corporations, international NGOs, microfinance institutions, and local distribution partners
    Offer product training with technical partners
    Manage inventory of products & spare parts
    Manage and conduct repairs

Summary:

The Accounts Receivable analyst is responsible for providing financial and administrative duties relating to accounts receivable (collections) in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial operations, through Oracle accounts receivable module and predecessor process / system. The incumbent oversees the maintenance of supporting records ensuring compliance with company policies and established external regulations.

The Accounts Receivable analyst must establish controls to meet both internal and external audit requirements in addition to supporting prevailing company policies and procedures.  The incumbent drives process improvements touching the Company’s Accounts Receivable function.

Essential Functions:

    Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable function.
    Ensure the timely and accurate processing of information into Oracle meeting the full system requirements.
    Ensure an accurate and efficient monthly closing of Accounts Receivable financial records and posting of month end information.
    Ensure the accuracy of Accounts Receivable information impacting upon the financial statements.
    Monitor open sales orders and initiate the cancelation of closed sales orders and credit notes, with appropriate authorisation.
    Responsible for the collection of all customer cash and the maintenance of strong relationship with all customers to resolve any debt issues.
    Liaise with sales and property teams on billing and collection issues so as to handle customer’s enquiries in a timely manner.
    Prepare monthly Age Debtors report.
    Provide timely and accurate monthly reports (revenue, accruals etc) and debtor analyses.
    Maintain monthly statement of reconciliation on all account receivable related balances to support end of month financial close balances.
    Provide periodic inputs for cash flow report and forecast as required.
    Strive for continuous improvement and participate or lead improvement projects within Accounts Receivables.
    Provide support to Management on ad-hoc requests and reports.
    Maintain appropriate tax records where applicable in regard to Accounts Receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience of ERP systems, Oracle knowledge preferred

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for the financial transaction processing and related controls



The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for preventing payment of unauthorized expenditure, enforcing compliance to ATC policies, procedures and legislation with regard to the procurement of goods and services, and ensuring that valid invoices are recorded promptly, accurately and are accounted for in accordance with GAAP. The Financial Operations Manager is also responsible for cash control environment, problem customer identification and escalation, and completion of month end reporting cycle on time. This position manages the AP, AR and project accounting activities. . The Financial Operations Manager works closely with the CFO, Financial Controller, Commercial Finance Manager and the Procurement Manager, to ensure the organization’s strategic goals and performance objectives are met.

The Financial Operations Manager will develop and implement new Finance processes, ensuring consistency with the requirements of IFRS and GAAP, and become a finance lead in the rollout of Oracle Financials to ensure successful and timely completion of the project.

Essential Functions:

    Support development of month end timetable for Uganda for the transactional team
    Manage month end close process for transactional team
    Support reporting team in preparation of review materials for senior management on monthly results.
    Work with multiple functions to prepare variance explanation reports during the monthly accounting close process.
    Assist with special projects as required by management to support ongoing needs of business.
    Support external auditors with detailed analyses as requested.

OTHER:

    Build a skilled transactional team

Qualifications:

    Strong finance skill set with a detailed understanding of IFRS and GAAP requirements.
    Wide experience of ERP systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
    Experience in setting up and monitoring system based controls environment including review / audit of end to end processes / key controls
    Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization, including senior management
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Self-motivated, experienced leader
    Creative analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems
    Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
