Training Officer Jobs at MTN Uganda (2 Positions)

Job Responsibilities

The position’s prime responsibilities are:
• Identify individual and organizational training needs through job analysis, staff appraisals and regular consultations with Supervisors and Managers and the human resources Department.
• Support the Customer Centricity strategy/culture within the organization through delivery of soft skills training programs e.g Brand Ambassador, LIRIC
• Design training courses and programmes necessary to meet training needs, or manage this activity via external provider (s)
• Manage the delivery, development and evaluate of training and development programmes; monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with Managers or HOD’s
• Participate actively in product development projects and facilitate product education for all staff and partners e.g. MTN dealers
• Organize training venues, logistics, transport, accommodation as required to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery, plus provide training support to other departments as often as is required.
• Arrange for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and material relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training.
Job Requirements

The applicant must possess;- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources or Management Science

Previous experience required
• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar position
• 2-3 years working experience in a service oriented organization
• Experience working in a multi-national/ multi-cultural or business environment and in telecommunications company is desirable
• Ability to work with cross–departmental teams
• Possession of a valid driving permit

Must possess good communication, supervisory and time management skills, good leadership and negotiation skills, including ability to inspire and motivate other people.

Must be a keen observer, good listener and must have a high level of concentration, strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as good sense of humour, sociable, patience, and flexibility
