Vacancy: Risk Manager

Job Description (Duties):

* To direct operations of risk management within the framework of an agreed business strategy by ensuring that sound risk management processes are in place and functioning across the organization
* To identify, assess, profile, document risks associated with processes and procedures
* Establish adequate mitigating controls in liaison with various process owners and ensure their implementation


Necessary Qualifications:

* A Master degree in Accounting, Finance, business administration or related field from a recognized university
* A relevant professional qualification e.g. CIA, ACCA, CPA, CISA or equivalent
* Knowledge of a Risk based tool preferably ACL (Audit Command Language)
* A minimum of 6 year's Risk management experience in a large organization 3 of which should be in a senior management position
* Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. IIA, ICPAU or equivalent is an added advantage
* Ability to lead the Risk management strategy and decision-making processes to create and deliver shareholder value based on Rwandatel's core competence
* Analytical thinker who can recognize trends and opportunities and plan/execute action to exploit business opportunities
* Ability to work with teams and lead teams to achieve business objectives
* Utmost professional integrity
* Ability to work under pressure
* Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications
* Knowledge of an accounting package preferably Sun Systems
