Credit Executive Job vacancy at Bayport Financial Services

Job Title: Credit Executive

To develop, design, review and analyze collection statistics and risk management processes and tools, and offer guidance and mentorship to Departmental and Field staff in line with Bayport Uganda's lending policies and procedures.

Role requirements:
• To design and ensure implementation of strategies and action plans for recovery of delinquent loans, delinquency tracking tool and transform the required actions into standard policies and procedures in line with Bayport Uganda's policies and procedures
• To develop and implement Collection processes, policies and procedures according to Bayport Uganda Strategic Plan.
• Prepare, submit and present, on a monthly basis Departmental performance reports on the Collections efficiencies and actions to further improve performance.
• Oversee reporting and analysis of collections data relative to decision-making based upon mitigating toss, delinquency, bad debt, age o! receivables, business and customer value.
• Maintain high quality demonstrated by achieving measurable goals such as: Improved loan book performance, Lower bad debt write offs attributable to poor credit decisions and poor collection techniques and strategies; higher customer retention attributable to the use of best consumer and business credit and collections practices.
• Manage relationships with: collection agencies, credit and collections based tools, Industry associations, among others, to meet ail Company Goals.

Skills required:
• Qualified candidates for this position will possess a Bachelor's in Business Management/ Finance/ Mathematics. An internationally recognized M.B.A/Post Graduate qualification in Finance is advisable.
• 5-10 years senior management experience of large teams with varying tasks and levels of complexity and experience.
• 5+ years experience in running a Credit and Collections Department preferably in the Commercial Banking/Financial Industry environment in Uganda/ internationally with proven track record and results.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry with particular focus on credit lending and management advisable.
• Accurate, dependable, a team player who is driven by achieving results and delivering Shareholders expectations.
• Above average problem solving and analytical skills; Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to nurture, grow and develop strong and beneficial business relationships across all levels.
• Ability to travel extensively within Uganda and globally.
• Must be 35 years or older.
• A high flying Credit Executive who is well respected in the business community for achieving results.
