Job Title: Manager, Strategic and Business Planning
Reports to: Director, Competition and Corporate Affairs

Role:
Coordinate and monitor the preparation and implementation of the UCC Corporate Plans and reports as well as periodic business analysis.

Key Result Areas
1. Coordinate the development of the UCC Strategic and Business plans and develop their implementation matrix;
2. Participate in development arid implementation of a strategy for aligning corporate performance to individual performance;
3. Design and implement appropriate tools for monitoring and evaluating performance of the Strategic, Business and operational plans at Corporate level;
4. Prepare UCC's corporate performance reports which evaluates the performance of the strategic and business plans that the organization has implemented during a financial year;
5. Coordinate the preparation of inputs to the line ministry and other stakeholders on matters of planning and reporting in relation to the Communications sector;
6. Coordinate the development of the Commission's annual priorities/objectives to guide resource allocation during the annual budget process to ensure that budget proposals mesh with the Commission's policy objectives and plans;
7. Participate in the development of a framework for public private partnerships (PPPs) for the communications sector; and
s. Compile and generate quarterly and annual reports as well as periodic UCC performance reports to the Commission, annual policy statements for submission to the line Ministry, Parliament and other Government institutions in line with the reporting requirements of the Commission.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or any other related field,
• Masters degree in any of the above or any other related field.

Knowledge and Experience:
• At least five (5) years working experience, three [3] of which should be in corporate planning and reporting
• Computer literate

Competencies required
• Good grasp of corporate planning and reporting, and proven competences in designing reports or working with design houses for publications;
• Good written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills with capacity to work with people at all levels, including external stakeholders;
• Quickly understands the business issues and challenges of organization and industry;
• Capacity to identify the organization’s strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement;
• Delivers informative, well-organized presentations,

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Successful candidates for the advertised positions will sign a three (3)-year renewable employment contract with the Commission.
