Job Title: Project Officer
Duty Station; Nakapiripirit
The Project Officer will work under the direct control and supervision of the Project Coordinator.

Job Purpose:
• Provide technical support in developing a comprehensive com¬munity based disaster risk reduction management plan.
• Support implementing partners and SCiUG field staff in the, implementation of a comprehensive community based disaster risk reduction management plan in all the areas of project operation.

Academic back ground, Experience and Person Specifications;
A bachelor's degree in a livelihoods related discipline with two years experience in a pastoral setting.
• Hands on experience in implementing disaster risk reduction programmes.
•Knowledge and skills in climatic change adaptation, planning alongside drought cycle model and dry land livelihoods. Should be having extensive knowledge and experience in the application of participatory tools and methodologies in programming.
•Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) and ability to communicate fluently in the local language desired (Ngakarimojong)
