Job Title: Sales Executives for Radio (KFM)
Ref: HR-R-12-2010-02
Reporting to the Business Manager -KFM the job holders will have the following responsibilities;
• Thoroughly familiarizing oneself with comparative (own and competition) audience ratings, rates and cost of advertising in all print and electronic media.
• Identifying potential advertising clients, studying their business, current and potential customers and convincing about the clients the value and benefits of advertising on Radio and other media platforms published by the Company.
• Executing sales by discussing and obtaining accurate client requirements, length of spot ads dates for insertion and price, and obtaining confirmation signatures of the authorized client representative.
• Assisting clients in the preparation of the advertising copy and liaising with Graphics Designers for professional advice on artwork.
• Liaising with clients for approval of final spot ads and obtaining appropriate signatures from authorized client representatives.
• Liaising with Credit Control and the clients regarding payment terms and collections.
• Following up and checking advertisements to ensure that the final advertisements to ensure that the final reproduction is as agreed with client.
• Preparing daily call plans and sheets and discussing then and reporting any problem encountered for assistance and guidance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidates should have;
• Academics - Basic University Degree
Experience
Should have at least 1-2 years relevant work experience in a busy commercial environment.
