Community Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Support Worker - Vacancy

Job Title: Community Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Support Worker based at Bugade in Mayuge District

S/he will play the lead role for overseeing Habitat for Humanity Uganda’s Programmes for HIV and other Vulnerable children in the respective Communities. S/he reports to the OVC Programme Coordinator.

Responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of programme implementation in the target communities.
2. Identify and document OVC families that are in need of shelter and other house related services
3. Participation in advocacy initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a degree in Social work or its Equivalent . At least of NGO project/program related implementation and management preferably within the HIV/ AIDS sector. Computer literacy. Ability/ willingness to ride a motorcycle. Knowledge of the local language (Lusoga) of the community.
