JOB TITLE: INTERNAL AUDITOR

Reports to: Principal Internal Auditor

The Overall Job Purpose:
To contribute to the evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes within the organisation.

Key Result Areas:
• Assists in identifying and evaluating the organization's risk areas and provides input to the development of the annual audit plan.
• conducting performance, financial and compliance audit projects; providing consulting services to the organization's management and staff
• Performs audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures.
• Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares audit working papers.
• Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.
• Assists in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
• Represents internal audit on organizational project teams and at management meetings.
• Carries out periodic internal audit programmes, system audits and special -investigations within stipulated reporting deadlines,


Job requirement

Required Experience and skills
The ideal Candidate should;
• Work under limited supervision with moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
• A minimum of four years experience in Auditing, Accounting Business Analysis or Program Evaluation
• Good skills and knowledge in information technology, accounting packages and use of CAATS.
• Good understanding of principles, practices and techniques of modern internal auditing
• Good analytical and report writing skills
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent or part certification as ACCA, CIA, CPA or CISA, and 4 years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation
• We are looking for a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
