The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to- recruit a dynamic self motivated individual to fill the role of Forklift Operator .


Job Title: FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Reports to: Manager Inventories and non-current Assets
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Carry out daily transport operation duties as assigned to meet all movement demands of the Operations department.
• Achieve on all operational demands in a cost effective manner and proper forklift usage to ensure consistency.
• Operate the company forklift responsibly in respect to all pre-set traffic laws and regulations to avoid costly penalties."
• Ensure excellent communication on all issues related to transport/deliveries of materials to achieve proper coordination of needs and achieve all expectations as required
• Ensure excellent company image is maintained through responsible driving habits
• Ensure proper documentation of all movements that involve the company forklift for easy follow up/monitoring by the manager Inventories and non-current Assets so as to have priorities ranked effectively for better delivery results
• Ensuring the company forklift has required documentation all the time as required by the rules and regulations, for example Log Book, and insurance to achieve legality on the road and avoid penalties.


Job requirement

Qualifications and experience
• At least three years' experience in operating a forklift in a busy commercial environment
• Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E) and a valid driving permit with at least B, CM, DL, & DM.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle / forklift mechanism
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Should not be above 40 years or below 30 years of age
• Able to write, read and speak English fluently.
