Airworthiness Inspector Job at Civil Aviation Authority

Job Title: Airworthiness Inspector-(Airframes and Powerplant)

AGE: Between 30-45 years

Reports to : Principal Airworthiness Inspector

Purpose
Team participation within the section, ensuring that directorate and Departmental operational safety standards are maintained, and where possible, improved.

Principal Accountabilities
Participate in the survey of aircraft for renewal of certificates of Airworthiness.
Participate in the development and review of related airworthiness technical guidance material
Participate in the development and maintenance of records of related airworthiness directives
participate in the development of examination packs for pilots (TTRs), flight engineers and maintenance engineers (Air frames and powerplant)
Participate in the renewal and variation certification processes for continuing certificate holder organisations.
Periodic review of safety oversight on the airworthiness status of aircraft.

Education
AB. Sc. graduate or equivalent in mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience
The job holder will have at least 5 years working experience in the aviation industry, progressing to the attainment of certifying staff status. In addition, the job holder will have well developed interpersonal skills.

Knowledge and skills
ICAO, IATA and national regulatory requirements in airworthiness and procedures.
Aircraft maintenance engineers license in the mechanical discipline (Airframes and powerplant) categories with type-ratings:
