Job Title: Agricultural Advisory Services Officer
Reports to: Manager Technical Services

Job Purpose
To support farm enterprise productivity and profitability through increased farmer access to improved technologies, quality advice and promotion of value chain development

Key Functions

• Support and promote participatory planning, enterprise selection and technology development for advisory services and technology development and gender categories including the youth and vulnerable groups.
• Support procurement of advisory services as well as agriculture advisory service providers' contracts management.
• Prepare annual work plans, budgets and performance reports for the department prepared and forwarded to Manager Technical Services
• Promote farmer Institutional Development supported and promoted

Person Specifications:
Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Medicine,
• Master of Sciences in Agriculture Extension, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Economics.

Experience
At least 5 years relevant experience
Competence
