Social Development Officer Job in Uganda at National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS)

Job Title: Social Development Officer
Reports to: Technical Services Manager

Job Purpose:
Support and enhance, Advisory Services and Farmer Institutional Development

Key Functions:

• Build capacity of farmer Institutional Development(FID) promoters;
• Establish framer group curriculum development
• Coordinate Farmer institutional Development (FID) activities
• Develop coordination framework for FID
• Coordinate, planning, enterprise selection activities between the district and NAADS Secretariat
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Person Specifications:

• Bachelors Degree in SWASA, Sociology, Agricultural Economics, Social sciences (Rural Economy Option)
• Master of Sciences in related field will be added advantage.

Experience:
At least 5 years relevant experience

Competence:

• Management of the organization environment
• Strategic thinking
• High personal integrity and good oral and writing skills
• Leadership and team work
• Accountability.
