Job Title: Investment Officer

Purpose of the position
The Investment Officer (IO) will be responsible for appraisal of the Financial Institutions that apply for lines of credit and also the guarantees from the Trust. He/ She will monitor the performance of the Financial Institutions that will have received funding from the Trust. He/ She will be responsible for maintaining a high quality portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
• Market and appraise potential Financial Institutions’ proposal for the inclusion in the Guarantee scheme
• Appraisal guarantee cases as submitted by partner Financial Institutions for the Trust’s approval.
• Support appraisal of lines of credit process
• Monitor Financial Institutions closely on product utilization, income payments, maturing repayments, and beneficiaries are tracked.

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Development studies, Finance, Economics.
• Relevant courses in Financial or Credit Analysis
• Financial Management and accounting skills and knowledge.
• 5 years’ experience working as an investment officer or credit analyst in a financial Institution will be an added advantage.
