Civil Engineer Job Vacancy in Uganda at EMPOWAD Ltd

Job Title: Civil Engineer
Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Purpose
To plan and design civil works and supervise the construction of such projects to ensure that they are built according to professionally drafted plans

Main Accountabilities:
• Analyze engineering survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geological data to plan projects
• Review all plans, enumerate and recommend available options and features for all construction works
• Direct constructions, operations and maintenance activities at project sites
• Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations
• Implement technical decisions regarding design, construction programs and structural repairs

Qualifications:
A university Degree in Civil Engineering. Post graduate training in Project management will be an added advantage

Experience:
At least 5 years working experience in a competitive business environment at a senior level. Member of the Uganda engineers’ Association
