Job Title: Human Resource Manager
Location: Church of Uganda Provincial Secretariat
Reports to: Provincial Secretary
Main Purpose of the Job:
To manage and coordinate the human resource functions for the Secretariat and provide technical guidance and support to management and staff as well responding to diocesan HR issues
Key duties and responsibilities
• Taking lead in determining the human resource requirements of the Provincial Secretariat
• Formulate HR strategies and plans
• Initiate and lead the preparation of work plans and budgets for the HR unit
• Develop, recommend, and up date the Secretarial policies, procedures and systems related to HR management
• Provide staff welfare services and counsel staff on job/ personal problems when required
Specifications of the suitable candidate should include:
• A Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or Social sciences or General Management or Public Administration. A Masters Degree in Human Resource Management is a must. HR data management skill is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years work experience, with a minimum of 3 of the years in a senior management position in Human Resource Management
• Experience in formulation of Human Resource strategies, policies and procedures
• Knowledge of labor laws of Uganda
