Job Title: ACCOUNTANT

Job purpose/summary

Timely preparation and submission of accurate financial statements, reports, returns and reconciliations on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis in accordance with the established standards and procedures.
Ensuring that all accounting information is accurate and properly posted in the system
Supervising, directing and appraising accounts staff under his control

Minimum qualifications & experience

An Honors Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or Business Admin. (BBA, accounting option) from a recognized institution. Possession of a relevant professional accounting qualification, in part or full, such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA is a distinct and competitive advantage
At least of 5 years relevant working experience and exposure in the accounting function in reputable organization(s).
Extensive computer knowledge in Microsoft Office and Accounting packages is a must
Must have proven knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals and Internal Control Procedures.
Should have good leadership skills including communication and interpersonal skills with ability to direct, control, coach, develop and appraise staff
Age: A mature and dynamic person of at least 30 years and above.
