Job Description:
The Kitgum programme is implementing a market oriented livelihoods programme in both Kitgum and Lamwo districts. The programme is based on a gender and market enterprise approach through establishing and building strong linkages between value chain actors within specified value chains.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance officer, this role involves handling of day to day accounting and administrative work for the Kitgum programme including processing cash and cheque payments, filing accounts records, setting up individual float and salary advance schedules, supporting in the preparation of payroll on a monthly basis, managing daily petty cash payments, supporting in the preparation of bank reconciliation, supporting internal and external auditors by providing all supporting documents, among other tasks. Administrative roles will include managing the front desk, managing estates, office security, managing office inventories; managing travel and accommodation booking for programme staff and visitors to the Programme.
Preferred Skills:
The Person.
You should have at least Part 1 ACCA or CPA or an equivalent professional qualification or a Minimum of a Diploma in accounting or an equivalent qualification in accounting related field from a recognized institution, you should also have good communication skills both written and verbal and should be computer literate. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills;
